We base our carriage charges on the size and weight of a product and we are only ever looking to recover the costs we receive from our 3rd party delivery partners. Our charges are tiered as follows : extra small item £6 +vat / small item £8 +vat / bulky items & lengths at £15 +vat
Charged Per Order
We charge our carriage per order and not per product ie if you order 6no large coils of land drainage pipe you still only pay £15 +vat for your delivery and not 6 x £15
We aim to dispatch all stocked items if ordered before 2.30pm for delivery within two days. For specific postcodes listed above delivery dates will vary and we would ask after placing your order you enquire with our sales team for a more accurate lead time. When adding products to your basket you will be shown delivery schedules for specific products. We regret we are unable to offer a Saturday delivery service. All orders placed online on a Saturday or Sunday will be processed on the Monday for delivery as shown on the specific product’s delivery schedule when added to the basket. We regret that timed deliveries cannot be offered and deliveries will be made between 8.00am & 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
Tracking Your Order
You will receive a carrier-tracking web link via email at the time your goods are being dispatched or will be contacted by SMS message which will advise as to the status of your delivery. We would ask that you track your delivery using this facility.
Signing for your Delivery
All materials must be signed for when they arrive on site. We would politely request that you sign and clearly print your name, therefore in the unlikely event of a delivery discrepancy we will have a person to contact by name. Items can be left without a signature at your request at the time of order. However, we would like to bring to your attention that we cannot be held responsible for any damages or shortages for goods left without a signature.
In the unlikely event of a late delivery, we regret that we are unable to compensate you for your builders’ time or any other consequential loss. Please ensure that you have allowed enough time to ensure your materials are on site before organising installation labour.
Checking Your Delivery
The majority of our deliveries are performed by third party carriers; please check that you have received the correct amount of packages as detailed on the driver’s delivery note before signing the ticket. Please note that once goods have been signed for as being received ‘complete and in good condition’, claims for damages or shortages are not covered by the carrier’s insurance company. Signing tickets ‘unchecked’ does not cover this, so please check number of packages and signs of any damage carefully, marking the driver’s note before allowing them to leave your site/premises.
We are happy to provide a full refund for the return of standard stocked goods subject to certain terms. All goods must be returned by the customer at their expense to the original place of shipping; this may be to Drain Depot’s premises or a manufacturer’s address. Products were purchased within the last 60 days. Goods will be inspected and subject to them being in a 100% re-saleable condition a full refund inclusive of any outgoing delivery charges will be processed. Special delivery charges i.e. non-standard, timed or AM deliveries will not be refunded. A goods return note must be completed and sent with the items being returned.
Regrettably, there are certain products that we cannot accept for return, these will be clearly detailed when added to your online shopping basket. These goods are generally special order/manufacture and are normally dispatched directly to your site or premises on a longer delivery time. Please don’t hesitate to contact our sales team on 0800 170 7654 if you are in any doubt about your special purchase.
We are only able to accept refunds that are accompanied with a ‘goods return note’. Once goods have been inspected the refund will be processed onto the original debit/credit card that was used to purchase the goods. A refund may take up to 5 working days to process.
